Our founder Sezgin Dündar's yachting adventure started with the sailing sport he met in the 2000s. This hobby, which he started as an amateur, turned into a great passion and shaped his professional business life. After deciding to make career planning in the maritime sector, he completed his education by choosing 9 Eylül University Yacht Captain Department.


Considering that taking steps each by each is an important advantage, since 2004; He managed production, being as a test captain at various shipyards and then Brand new, second-hand sales and technical service organizations in distributor companies. As a reward for his experience in the maritime sector, he continued his career journey by taking part in the quality control department of the ‘Karayel UAV Project’ in the aviation sector.
In the years following the manufacturing processes and test captain of some iconic yachts, which names will be mentioned frequently. Numarine 102 ', which was produced as a single piece composite in the period it was built, was included in the iconic yachts class. In the same period, 55 HT model, which managed to make a name for itself with its performance by reaching enormous speeds of 50 knots in the 17m category, is among the honor projects in its yacht building career.

Today, he is thrilled to turn his hobby into a job with the pride of contributing to the construction of nearly 30 boats in various sizes and categories, each of which is 32m in the world's seas.

Finally, when the calendars hit the year 2016, Portofino Marine Group company was established with its valuable team, each of them who are sea enthusiasts and the "Boutique Service Philosophy". While PMG determines its main field of activity as "Sales, Charter, Consultancy", tracing technologies that will facilitate marine life will always be part of the company's vision.

Portofino Yatçılık Turizm ve Dış Tic Ltd Şti was established in 2016 as an Istanbul based Yachting Company. Focusing its main activities on Second Hand Boat Sales and Consultancy in the first years of its establishment, the company decided to combine all its services under the roof of Portofino Marine Group due to its expanding services in the following years.

By undertaking the Turkish distributorship of innovative products such as the Italian brand Tender-Extender Boats and the Spanish origin SHIPCONTROLLER (remote yacht control), it keeps its promise to always be with you with solutions that facilitate marine life.

Each member of the valuable team that makes up the PMG family is a sea lover and shares their privileged experiences with you with the excitement of the first day.
